Registration & Licensing Requirements

Upon successful completion of Psychiatric and Mental Nurse Programme, the nurse shall be required

to seek for registration as registered “Mental Health/Psychiatric Nurse” with the Nursing &

Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

The current fees for registration for Post Basic Programme is Seventeen Thousand, Five Hundred

Naira only. This constitutes:

–  Registration Fee                      –      N15,000.00

–  Certification                            –     N3,000.00

–  Licensing Fee for 3 years        –      N6,000.00

–  Badge                                     –      N2,500.00

These fees are payable to Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria through bank draft within 90

days of the release of the result.

In addition, the candidate must complete registration forms with four recent passport photographs

(black & white) attached, photocopy of previous registration with the Council; a photocopy of

current license and photocopies of document relating to change of name if applicable will

accompany the registration form.

Penalty for late registration for an applicant attracts N5,000.00

NB: The N&MCN reviews payable fees and charges from time to time.
