Hostel Rules and Regulations
I. Male and female students are entitled to hostel accommodation on the basis of first come
first served after due payment of stipulated hostel fee. Hostel accommodation is optional.
ii. Students shall have access the available facilities in the hostel and those in the school within
the official hours.
iii. Students shall pay accommodation fees as approved by the management in their fees
schedule not later than one month after admission.
iv. Visitors are received in the hostel between 4.00pm and 8.00pm through the security post. No
visitor shall go beyond the common room. Penalty for offenders is outright ejection from the
hostel.
v. No student is permitted to squat or illegally accommodate any other person in the hostel.

vi. All students staying in the hostel are expected to take active part in keeping the hostel and
its environment clean.
vii. No hard papers/pad should be used in the toilet. Offenders shall pay for the cost of opening
the blockage.
viii. Use of heater (Electric coil) is seriously prohibited in the hostel. Such appliances shall be
ceased by the school authority and if there is any damage caused by the appliance, the
offender shall pay for the damage.
ix. No student shall be allowed into the hostel after 10.00pm.
x. Any student involved in stealing; sexual abuse and sexual harassment; quarreling and fighting
in the hostel; smoking and drunkenness shall be treated as provided for in the Nursing and
Midwifery Council of Nigeria Disciplinary measure for Professional Offences.
xi. No student is permitted to monopolize the use of any facility that is meant for the use of all
students. Penalty for offender is outright ejection from the Hostel.
xii. No student should be found in the Hostel during class period.
Handling of Misunderstanding with fellow Students
On account of misunderstanding with fellow student or staff, dialogue should be adopted in
resolving all conflicts. If this fails the following process should be followed:-
– Report the matter officially to the class coordinator verbally and in writing. If not satisfied with
the outcome, report the matter in writing through the Class Coordinator to the
Coordinator(Principal).
– If the situation requires a committee investigation, parties concerned will have to appear before
the Disciplinary Committee of the School.
